Zackariah McKenzie, an ex-army bomb disposal expert, is now an aide to the controversial Professor Henry Toogood, a guy who asks the awkward questions, like, is the theory of evolution true? Are the teachings of all the various religions real, or are they just misinformation that has been going on for centuries? And if what you believe is a lie, how do you find the truth? The Catholic church lied for over a thousand years and we had the dark ages. All Islamic sects have twisted the teachings of the Prophet Mohamed, while the Southern Baptists of the USA, formed in 1845, assert their path is the only correct one. Let alone the Latter Day Saints, the Exclusive Brethren, the Methodists, the Presbyterians; the list is endless.
In his travelling road show, Professor Henry Toogood just asks the questions and points out the obvious. When it comes to creation, evolution is silly and unscientific, but the religious versions of creation are absolutely idiotic nonsense. And then he comes up with the only conclusions that fit. That we have been systematically lied to by all those with vested interests in keeping the lies and the status quo going. He shows that evolution didn’t happen; it can’t happen. DNA makes sure of that. That gets the religious groups cheering for him; then he blows them out of the water by proving most of what they believe is a lie. Just like evolution is.
He has made enemies by the score, and the violence of the protests outside his venues is rising almost exponentially. And that worries his close in support; his daughter Samantha, his aide, Zack, and his security guard, Tony. Then the inevitable happens.
A violent attack takes place and Zack is seriously injured. Tony and Sam save his life and the life of the professor, who thanks them by sacking them and getting a new security company. It is assumed by all, including the FBI, that it is a terrorist attack, but as Zack lies in his bed in hospital, he watches a replay of the attack and realizes that it’s not a terrorist attack. He tells the FBI and they don’t believe him; the attack stays in the terrorist basket. But Zack knows they’re wrong. And if not a terrorist attack, it had to be an attack aimed at the professor. No other explanation fits. Someone wants the Professor dead. Exactly what has the Professor done? If that is the reason? Zack knows this attack won’t be the last; the planning that went into the first attack showed determination and the necessary money to back it up. It will happen again, guaranteed. And the people who carried it out have disappeared. Zack, Tony and Sam now form their own security company and Zack unravels what has put the Professor’s life on the line. And it isn’t the religious fanatics or the hierarchy that believe in evolution; it is dark, sinister, and the Professor is knee deep in a pile of crap of his own making. He has put the lives of all around him in jeopardy. Zack unravels why they and the professor are in mortal danger; it is not what they thought. It never was.
