How much is a life worth? Especially when you are just doing your job? Somethings, you just don’t want to know…
The written word can kill…
Chris Henderson is in the business of saving people. Everyday people who go to work to make a living, just doing a job. When two contractors are killed at the Industrial Metal Group, IMG, Double Bay processing plant, Chris is hired. The money is good, exceptionally good, and it takes time to sink in. He is wasting his time. He eventually realizes the Management of IMG sees him and his documents as a hinderance to the way they want to run the business. Then one of his safety procedures is altered and flagrantly misused, leading directly to another death. The management knows the authorities will shut the plant, unless they have a scapegoat. They have, Chris.
But Chris has the original, unaltered safety document on his computer, the one he emailed to the manager concerned. IMG’s controller and Managing Director has plans for IMG, plans that will make him exceedingly rich, and those plans will be in tatters if the truth comes out.
Chris Henderson has to be stopped. The controller hires killers to hunt Chris down, a professional hit that just misses. The police are at a loss and Chris is too. All this over a simple safety procedure? Crazy! For his own safety, the police advise him to move and hide. He does, back where no one would suspect, back to the beautiful little seaside town of Double Bay that services the IMG plant. But he is spotted going back and the professional killers hunting him are ecstatic. There is only one road in and out. Chris is trapped. This know this will be easy money, a sure-fire turkey shoot! In a town so small, hiding is impossible! Now begins the hunt in earnest. . .
There will be no prisoners!
