Twenty years a document writer, now a novelist. I have heard people saying that writing is one of loneliest professions around. I fail to see it. Your mind is totally occupied with the story and time just flies. It wasn't like that as a document writer; every one wanting their project written up, first. Now it is just my projects. Wonderful! I hope you enjoy reading as much as i enjoyed writing.

This is my first Blog. So bear with me. It constantly amazes me how much truth leaches into fiction stories but that’s what makes them believable, right? But sometimes, truth is stranger than fiction. Consider this. In Chapter 8 of my book The Church, Steve and Jade are fooling around with a loaded shotgun. Jade points it at Steve and asks, ‘I wonder if it is loaded?’ She pulls the trigger and shoots Steve. He looks at her and says, ‘Of course it’s loaded you stupid fucking slut.’ He then collapses and slowly dies. Unbelievable? That accident happened, nearly word for word, in the city near to where I live. Moral? Never play with a loaded shotgun, even if it is only loaded with bird shot. Then consider The Document Writer. That is based on a true event. One that I personally know about as a ex-document writer. The misuse of documents that are there to keep people safe, happens in all companies, especially if complying is going to cost time or money or both. People are human, no doubt about it. Moral? Be sure you sins will find you out. They all get caught, big or small, and in the end, they loose the respect of Joe Public. Yes, ten years down the track it probably won’t matter to much, but companies hate being regarded as shit. It costs them shareholders. And as a shareholder myself, I dump shares in any company that acts inappropriately. After all, it’s simple. That is my money invested in that company and I want it looked after by people who are responsible. Grown ups. I have six books currently published, including the first one in the Pocket Money trilogy, The Bike, one that my brilliant editor, Lee Ann of FirstEditing has just finished.
Stay safe folks, Strangely.
